''Letter which caused disappointment''

                                       ''Letter which caused disappointment.''
It was a dark foggy night, and I was in my hostel room, basking the heater. It was really very cold, and I could not even spare a second from shivering. Then my door knocked, and there came a letter at my door—a message from my parents.
At first, I wasn't able to open the letter due to extreme trembling, and then I began, the subject of the message was the illness of mother. I became very depressed, then I  proceeded to the main lines of the letter, and the lines were:'' Nishwa, your mother is suffering from severe diarrhea. Doctors have necessitated us to take her to the US for her treatment. I request you to come here as soon as possible, your presence is necessary to embolden your young siblings.
- Thank you, your father.''
Many questions arose in my mind, but then I cogitated not to waste time but to find out a way because two days were left in my final semester's examinations, and I also had to be with my family. I couldn't even defer my exams.
My eyes filled with tears I couldn't find a way out. I went to the Vice Principal's office to tell the situation, he expressed his sympathy. Still, the words of him which made me hopeless were:'' I regret that I cannot succor you officially we have no authority to delay these final exams. But the only thing I can do is to set a meeting of Councilor with you. You can palliate him on your own.''
Me:'' I am very thankful to you, but do you think he would agree with me''.
Vice.Principal:'' Yeah, obviously, if he understands your situation, he would definitely allow you to delay the exams''.
The Vice Principal told me the date and time for the meeting, and then I departed for my hostel. I was indecision state; the counselor was the only antipathy.
The next day it was Sunday, leaving one day in my final exams. I got myself prepared for the meeting, and ten minutes were gone, I prayed sincerely for the situation to get to its end. The meeting was to be held in the Principal's office, and it was at a distance of five minutes from my hostel. So I just left the hostel and reached the office. Councilor was already waiting for me to come.
Me:'' Can I come in, Sir?''
Counselor:''Yeah,sure''
(and I went in)
Counselor: Sit down and tell me the issue.
(and I told him the problem)
Councellor:'' Well, it's a serious issue, but we cannot delay it for one or two days''.
Me: But Sir, I really need to go home it's my responsibility to be with the family on this disappointment incident.
Councellor: In fact, we have set up a policy that whenever someone misses an exam, he can appear in it on vacations. But it includes extra fee charges.
Me: Ok, I'll pay the fee. Nothing's more valuable than the life of my mother. I'll do a part-time job to pay the extra cost.
Councellor: I am happy that you are a very responsible daughter. If someone else gets into this situation, can't take this step, so don't be worried I'll pay the fee charges on your behalf. You just book an airplane ticket and fly to your family.
Hope-filled my heart due to his support. And while leaving his office, I opened my wallet to buy the ticket, and there was not a single penny left. Councellor got the point that I have no money left, so he gave me a paper currency of five-hundred. I gave him a last thankful look and went off.

Effects of Rainfall

Rain is termed as a blessing of Allah Almighty. Quran says that it is the Divine power to bring winds soaked in water, which causes rain, a source and sign of life on earth. If we start counting the benefits of rain, we will exhaust our energy but will fail to encompass the positive impacts of rain. However, I have listed a few benefits below : Agriculture :                          Agriculture is the sector most benefited by rainfall. The agriculture produce is irrigated by rain, and the farmers are saved from spending money on artificial irrigation systems such as tube-wells and canals and many more in this modern world. The effects of rainfall on agriculture are manifold as the pest and insects are also killed by rain. Due to rain the underground water level also rises, which makes the water readily and easily available.      2. Detoxification :          ...

Into the Abyss with the Dangers that Haunt Pakistani Journalists in the Pursuit of Truth

Pakistan, where the pen should be mightier than the sword, is at a crossroads as the once-vibrant press faces unprecedented dangers. A rise in physical assaults on journalists, combined with worrisome legislative maneuverings, portrays a troubling picture. Let us now look at the specific difficulties that have put a shadow over the Fourth Estate. The Brave Are Bruised - Physical Assaults on Journalists The 2021 brazen attack on journalist Asad Ali Toor in his own house is not an isolated occurrence, but rather a sign of a larger problem. Unidentified thugs, allegedly linked to security forces, attacked Toor with ferocity, sending shockwaves across the journalistic community. This is not just an attack on people; it is an attack on the entire core of a free press. Government Complicity - A Silent Menace While the perpetrators may be nameless shadows, the participation of the governmental apparatus in silencing dissent is a concerning fact. From financial pressure to social media ha...
